The Opportunity:
As an Examinations Officer, you will lead and manage all examination processes, including public and mock exams. This role is ideal for someone who thrives under pressure and values precision and organization. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the school’s academic calendar.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate all public and mock examinations across the academic year.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external examination regulations and standards.
- Oversee the distribution, collection, and secure storage of examination materials.
- Liaise with teachers, students, and external examination bodies to ensure seamless processes.
- Monitor and report on examination performance and outcomes.
- Provide support to the Examinations team during peak periods, including extended hours when required.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to all examination activities.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of examination timetables and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience in managing examination processes in an educational setting.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and systems for record-keeping and reporting.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a senior examinations role.
- Knowledge of GCSE, A Level, Pre-U, and IB examination systems.
- Experience in a school or college environment.
- Flexibility to work extended hours during peak examination periods.
