The Opportunity:

As an Examinations Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of all examinations within a high-achieving, multicultural school. This is an opportunity to make a real impact on student success and support the academic journey of students from Year 7 to Year 13.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the administration and coordination of internal and external examinations.
  • Ensure all examination procedures comply with school and external regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with teachers, students, and external examiners to maintain accurate records and timelines.
  • Oversee the secure storage and distribution of examination materials.
  • Support the preparation and marking of examinations, including the management of results.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting to relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of examination policies and procedures.
  • Maintain detailed records and ensure confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Experience in an educational setting, preferably in a school or college.
  • Knowledge of examination systems and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school with a similar age range (11-18).
  • Familiarity with the UK examination system, including GCSEs and A Levels.
  • Experience with digital examination systems and software.
  • Previous experience in a role involving student records or data management.
