The Opportunity:
As an Examinations Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of all examinations within a high-achieving, multicultural school. This is an opportunity to make a real impact on student success and support the academic journey of students from Year 7 to Year 13.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the administration and coordination of internal and external examinations.
- Ensure all examination procedures comply with school and external regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with teachers, students, and external examiners to maintain accurate records and timelines.
- Oversee the secure storage and distribution of examination materials.
- Support the preparation and marking of examinations, including the management of results.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting to relevant stakeholders.
- Assist with the development and implementation of examination policies and procedures.
- Maintain detailed records and ensure confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Experience in an educational setting, preferably in a school or college.
- Knowledge of examination systems and procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Preferred
- Experience in a school with a similar age range (11-18).
- Familiarity with the UK examination system, including GCSEs and A Levels.
- Experience with digital examination systems and software.
- Previous experience in a role involving student records or data management.
