The Opportunity:

As an Exams Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of examinations across the institution. This is a vital position that ensures compliance with awarding body rules and maintains high standards in exams administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the administration of examinations, ensuring compliance with awarding body and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate processing of examination entries and results.
  • Monitor and maintain records in line with JCQ and other awarding body guidelines.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and external partners.
  • Support the implementation of new systems and processes to improve efficiency in exams administration.
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate, up to date, and securely stored.
  • Liaise with the Examinations team to resolve any issues or queries related to exams.
  • Assist in the planning and organisation of examination periods and related events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Demonstrable experience in a busy and changing administration environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience using business systems and software.
  • Experience in exams administration or knowledge of awarding body/JCQ rules.
  • GCSE Maths and English Grade A*-C / 9-4.

Preferred

  • Experience with regulatory and compliance requirements in exams administration.
  • Experience in customer service roles.
  • Knowledge of education sector processes and procedures.
