Exams Officer needed to manage assessments and support teaching standards.

The Opportunity:

As an Exams Officer, you will play a vital role in managing examinations and ensuring accurate tracking of student performance. This position supports the school’s mission to raise teaching standards and improve learning outcomes for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate all examinations and assessments efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records and track pupil progress using assessment data.
  • Provide administrative and data support to teaching staff and students.
  • Collaborate with Business Services to ensure data and administrative requirements are met.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of examination materials.
  • Support SLT and Curriculum Leaders in monitoring and improving teaching standards.
  • Ensure compliance with examination regulations and procedures.
  • Use IT systems, including Microsoft Office and SIMS, to manage data effectively.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Strong time management and ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise work effectively.
  • Experience in an educational setting, preferably in a school or academy.

Preferred

  • Experience with SIMS or similar school management systems.
  • Previous experience in an exams or administrative role within education.
  • Knowledge of data management and reporting procedures.
  • Understanding of school policies and examination processes.
