The Opportunity:
As an Exams Officer, you will be responsible for managing the full examination cycle, from entries to results. This role is crucial in ensuring that all examinations run smoothly and in line with national guidelines. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students through the entire exam process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the full examination cycle, including entries, timetabling, and result submission
- Ensure compliance with awarding body regulations and coordinate access arrangements
- Prepare and manage exam rooms, and supervise invigilators
- Handle secure materials and maintain accurate student records
- Support students through the exam process, from communication to post-results services
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including exam boards and school leaders
- Ensure all examinations, including GCSEs, A-levels, and vocational assessments, are conducted efficiently and effectively
- Maintain high standards of integrity and organisation throughout the process
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Experience in managing examination processes and procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to high standards and integrity
- Knowledge of national examination guidelines and regulations
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational setting
- Familiarity with GCSEs, A-levels, and vocational assessments
- Experience with exam boards and external stakeholders
- Previous experience in a senior administrative or support role
