The Opportunity:

As the Executive Director of Primary Education, you will lead the academic direction of the school's primary academies, ensuring high standards and continuous improvement. This role offers the chance to influence the education of thousands of students and collaborate with a dedicated team of educators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire primary teams to maintain and improve academic standards across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
  • Set and deliver ambitious academic targets aligned with the school's strategic goals.
  • Support the deployment of staff and resources to maximize educational outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and Senior Executive Team to enhance the school's overall performance.
  • Contribute to leadership across the school’s wider operations, including enrichment programs and safeguarding.
  • Embed best practices and research-proven approaches to drive academic success.
  • Engage in national policy debates and stay updated with the latest developments in education.
  • Inspire and lead senior educators within the school to achieve shared goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in raising academic standards across multiple primary academies.
  • Experience as a Principal or Head Teacher, with a track record in system-level leadership.
  • Demonstrated success in school transformation and sustainable improvement.
  • Ability to articulate impact on student progress and attainment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire others.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Involvement in national education policy discussions.
  • Familiarity with the latest educational technologies and pedagogical approaches.
  • Experience in managing large-scale educational initiatives or programs.
