The Opportunity:
As an EYFS Coordinator, you will play a key role in shaping the early years curriculum and supporting the development of young learners. This is a leadership position that involves managing teaching staff, delivering inspiring lessons, and contributing to the overall educational vision of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and lead the development of an innovative and challenging EYFS curriculum for Pre-Nursery to Kindergarten 3.
- Support assessment and monitoring of pupil progress, ensuring clear learning targets aligned with EYFS outcomes.
- Deliver engaging and individualized EYFS lessons that promote a love of learning.
- Foster strong relationships with pupils and their families, providing personalized support and attention.
- Monitor and evaluate EYFS curriculum areas in line with school policies and quality standards.
- Conduct learning walks and provide constructive feedback to teachers to enhance pupil learning outcomes.
- Participate in school events and activities, including evenings and weekends, such as parent interviews and conferences.
- Manage the EYFS budget and organize library and classroom resources.
- Lead EYFS staff meetings and contribute to weekly whole school staff meetings.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- University degree and recognized qualification (such as PGCE) in Early Childhood Education.
- Native-level English speaker.
- Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in Early Years education, preferably in an international setting.
- Experience in leading teams or departments.
- Experience with the EYFS programme.
Preferred
- Knowledge of Early Years curriculum development and assessment.
- Experience with the Reggio Emilia Approach.
