Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire the Early Years team, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Primary and other members of the leadership team.
  • Develop and implement engaging, child-centered early years curriculum.
  • Support the wider curriculum development, including the Forest School program.
  • Take a proactive role in the extra-curricular life of the school.
  • Foster strong relationships with colleagues, students, and parents.
  • Promote a positive learning environment that encourages creativity, resilience, and curiosity.
  • Ensure the use of technology and innovative pedagogy in the classroom.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in an Early Years setting.
  • Strong commitment to the school’s values of nurturing, challenging, and inspiring.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
  • Experience in behaviour for learning and creating a positive classroom environment.
  • Recent experience in early years education.

Preferred

  • Experience in a collaborative, all-through school setting.
  • Knowledge of Forest School provision and outdoor learning.
  • Experience with curriculum development and integration.
  • Familiarity with the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Experience in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
