The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced EYFS SEN Tutor to deliver high-quality, tailored support to young learners with special educational needs. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact through a structured, heart-based approach that prioritises student well-being and academic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted EYFS tutoring to students with special educational needs
  • Apply the Bright Heart Approach, focusing on building trust, self-esteem, and confidence
  • Develop and implement individual learning plans that cater to academic and emotional needs
  • Communicate regularly with parents and education consultants to ensure consistent support
  • Attend ongoing training and CPD sessions to enhance tutoring skills and safeguarding knowledge
  • Maintain detailed records of student progress and session outcomes
  • Collaborate with education consultants to ensure alignment with Bright Heart’s standards and policies
  • Adhere to all safeguarding and child protection protocols

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • At least 12 months of relevant tutoring or teaching experience in the UK
  • Strong subject knowledge in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Current Enhanced DBS certificate with a check of the children’s barred list
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Passion for teaching and supporting learners with SEN

Preferred

  • Experience with the Bright Heart Approach or similar student-centred methodologies
  • Experience working with students with severe SEN
  • Previous experience in a tutoring agency or similar educational setting
  • Familiarity with curriculum requirements for EYFS
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and training
