The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced EYFS Tutor to provide high-quality support to young learners in Folkstone. This role is ideal for someone passionate about early years education and working with students who require additional support. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and structured EYFS lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Support students with special educational needs (SEN) through a compassionate and inclusive approach
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to update them on student progress
- Follow the Bright Heart Approach to build trust, self-esteem, and academic confidence in students
- Collaborate with education consultants to ensure consistent and effective teaching practices
- Attend training sessions and professional development opportunities provided by the school
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and lesson plans
- Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment at all times
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- At least 12 months of relevant tutoring and/or teaching experience in the UK
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong subject knowledge in early years education
- Current Enhanced DBS certificate with a check of the children’s barred list
- Passion for teaching and working with young children
- Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)
Preferred
- Experience with the Bright Heart Approach or similar nurturing teaching methods
- Previous experience in a school or educational setting
- Familiarity with curriculum standards for early years education
- Ability to work both in-person and online
