The Opportunity:

We are seeking an EYFS Tutor with SEN Experience to provide tailored support to young learners in Elstead. This role is ideal for someone passionate about working with students who have special educational needs and who can deliver high-quality, impactful tuition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and structured EYFS lessons tailored to students with special educational needs
  • Develop and implement individual learning plans to support student progress
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to update them on student progress
  • Collaborate with other educators and support staff to ensure a consistent and supportive learning environment
  • Monitor and assess student development, providing detailed feedback to the school and parents
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Participate in training and professional development sessions to enhance teaching practices
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and lesson planning

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Minimum of 12 months of relevant tutoring or teaching experience in the UK
  • Strong subject knowledge in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Valid Enhanced DBS certificate with children’s barred list check
  • Ability to provide 2 professional references and a parent reference

Preferred

  • Experience with the Bright Heart Approach or similar student-centred teaching methods
  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting
  • Familiarity with special educational needs (SEN) and related support strategies
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and training
