The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Finance Administrator to join our busy and rewarding finance team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of the school’s financial operations while working in a supportive and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the finance department with administrative duties, including credit card transaction processing and reconciliations.
  • Compile and issue budget reports and manage billing sheets for parent fee notes.
  • Process purchase orders, invoices, and supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Assist with credit control and payroll administrative functions.
  • Provide cover on Reception and for the wider administrative team when required.
  • Manage petty cash reconciliations, archiving, and stock checks.
  • Handle bursary inbox emails and respond to queries from staff and parents.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • AAT qualified or equivalent experience.
  • Strong IT skills with sound knowledge of Office 365, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with digital accounting software.
  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities outside of regular duties.
