The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated Finance Administrator to join our busy and rewarding finance team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of the school’s financial operations while working in a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the finance department with administrative duties, including credit card transaction processing and reconciliations.
- Compile and issue budget reports and manage billing sheets for parent fee notes.
- Process purchase orders, invoices, and supplier statement reconciliations.
- Assist with credit control and payroll administrative functions.
- Provide cover on Reception and for the wider administrative team when required.
- Manage petty cash reconciliations, archiving, and stock checks.
- Handle bursary inbox emails and respond to queries from staff and parents.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- AAT qualified or equivalent experience.
- Strong IT skills with sound knowledge of Office 365, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Outstanding communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Preferred
- Familiarity with digital accounting software.
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities outside of regular duties.
