The Opportunity:

As a Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the School Business Manager with all financial processes, ensuring efficiency and timely reporting. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the school's continued success in delivering high-quality education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee financial processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Deliver timely and accurate management reporting to support decision-making across the school.
  • Provide line management for a team of two members of staff.
  • Collaborate with the senior leadership team on financial matters and strategic planning.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Support the implementation of cost-saving initiatives and financial best practices.
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the school.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance regularly.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience with financial software and accounting systems.
  • A relevant qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or academy environment.
  • Knowledge of educational budgeting and financial planning.
  • Experience with financial reporting and management information systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
