The Opportunity:
As a Financial Controller, you will manage the day-to-day financial operations of a school, including budgeting, accounts payable, and reporting. This role is essential to the smooth running of the school’s financial systems and supports the bursary programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the school’s financial operations, including billing and accounts payable.
- Oversee budgeting and produce accurate management reports.
- Support the bursary programme in collaboration with the Finance Bursar and Admissions Team.
- Interact with stakeholders, including pupils and parents, to ensure financial processes are clear and efficient.
- Provide support to the Finance Team as needed, covering duties when required.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and internal policies.
- Maintain accurate financial records and support audits as required.
- Contribute to the development of financial strategies that align with the school’s goals.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in financial management within an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience in budgeting and financial planning.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with stakeholders.
