The Opportunity:
A school is seeking an inspiring and engaging Flute Teacher to join its Music Department. The ideal candidate will be an accomplished performer and passionate educator, capable of inspiring students at all levels. This is a part time role with initial teaching commitments of one day per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality flute tuition to students of all abilities.
- Inspire and motivate students through engaging and interactive teaching methods.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the school’s music curriculum.
- Support students in preparing for performances and assessments.
- Collaborate with other members of the Music Department to enhance the overall music program.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Participate in school events and performances as required.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified music teacher or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrable experience in teaching flute at all levels.
- Strong musical performance background and technical ability on the flute.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage administrative tasks related to teaching.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching students new to music.
- Experience working in a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of music theory and pedagogy.
- Experience with performance preparation and assessment.
