The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Food and Nutrition lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
  • Design and implement interactive and hands-on learning experiences.
  • Support students in developing practical skills through real-world food-related projects.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and promote student success.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure learning outcomes are met.
  • Encourage creativity and critical thinking in students through innovative teaching methods.
  • Stay up to date with developments in food science and nutrition education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • At least 1 year of teaching experience
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or a related field
  • Experience designing and implementing schemes of work
  • Passion for fostering creativity and student engagement
