Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative lessons in Food and Nutrition to students across key stages.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of all learners and aligns with national standards.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the subject area and incorporate new ideas into teaching practice.
  • Support students in developing practical skills and knowledge related to food and nutrition.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the institution.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • The ability to teach to GCSE standard.
  • Proven experience in delivering outstanding attainment and achievement.
  • Demonstrated experience in innovation and creativity in teaching.

Preferred

  • Experience of working in a grammar school or similar setting.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in pastoral care or student support.
