Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons in Food Technology or Design Technology across the 11-16 age range.
- Develop engaging and challenging curricula that support student achievement and personal development.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student experiences.
- Participate in staff development and training opportunities to maintain and improve teaching standards.
- Support the school's mission by fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events where appropriate.
- Ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Food Technology or Design Technology.
- Experience teaching at secondary level, ideally within a 11-16 age range.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a supportive school environment.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering cross-curricular projects or integrating technology into teaching.
- Previous involvement in extracurricular or pastoral activities.
- Experience with initial teacher training or mentoring.
- Familiarity with the latest developments in Food Technology or Design Technology education.
