Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Food Technology lessons that challenge and inspire students.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that supports student progression and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching standards.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous development of the Food Technology program.
  • Support students both inside and outside the classroom through extra-curricular activities and practical learning opportunities.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
  • Stay up to date with industry developments and incorporate relevant skills and knowledge into teaching.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant Food Technology experience.
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for Food Technology.
  • Experience in planning and delivering engaging lessons to students of all abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Commitment to student achievement and professional growth.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and leading a Food Technology department.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard Food Technology practices and equipment.
  • Experience with cross-curricular and practical learning opportunities.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
