Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
  • Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies that promote student enjoyment and academic success.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support departmental and school-wide initiatives.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure consistent improvement.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Food Technology and incorporate them into the curriculum.
  • Support students in developing practical and theoretical knowledge of Food Technology.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Proven experience teaching Food Technology at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Food Technology.
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering innovative and practical lessons.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard Food Technology equipment and techniques.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
