The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Food Technology Teacher to join our team starting in September 2026. This role offers the opportunity to teach across Key Stage 3 and 4, including GCSE, and to contribute to a supportive and progressive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons to students at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Plan and develop engaging and innovative teaching resources and schemes of work.
- Monitor and assess student progress effectively, providing constructive feedback.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the department.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and events related to Food Technology.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Right to Work in the UK
- Experience teaching Food Technology at Key Stage 3 and 4
- Ability to deliver GCSE-level Food Technology courses
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
- Experience in a school or college setting
- Experience with curriculum development
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar
- Experience with pastoral care and student support
- Familiarity with Ofsted standards and school improvement processes
