The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Food Technology Teacher to join our team starting in September 2026. This role offers the opportunity to teach across Key Stage 3 and 4, including GCSE, and to contribute to a supportive and progressive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons to students at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Plan and develop engaging and innovative teaching resources and schemes of work.
  • Monitor and assess student progress effectively, providing constructive feedback.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the department.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and events related to Food Technology.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Experience teaching Food Technology at Key Stage 3 and 4
  • Ability to deliver GCSE-level Food Technology courses
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or college setting
  • Experience with curriculum development
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support
  • Familiarity with Ofsted standards and school improvement processes
