The Opportunity:

As a Forest School Practitioner, you will lead and deliver outdoor learning experiences that inspire children to explore, grow, and connect with nature. This role is ideal for someone passionate about outdoor education and committed to creating meaningful learning opportunities in a dynamic, nature-based setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver Forest School and Outdoor Learning sessions for children aged 0-11 years.
  • Plan and prepare a wide range of nature-based activities that support children's individual learning journeys.
  • Supervise and monitor children’s safety and wellbeing during all sessions.
  • Work closely with the First School and Middle School teams to maintain high standards of practice.
  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, providing regular updates on progress.
  • Help lead Cubs activities as part of the school curriculum.
  • Support the delivery of the After School Club and other wraparound care activities.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the outdoor learning environment.
  • Support school marketing events with visiting children and parents.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Forest School qualification, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience delivering Forest School or outdoor learning sessions, ideally with primary school-aged children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and high standards of practice.

Preferred

  • A Beach School qualification and experience.
  • Experience working in a school or educational setting.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including during school holidays.
