The Opportunity:

As a Foundation Development Manager, you will be responsible for securing transformational funding for the bursary and scholarship programme. This role is pivotal in shaping a sustainable development strategy that expands access and nurtures diversity across the school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support the bursary and scholarship programme.
  • Build and maintain relationships with donors, alumni, and potential partners to secure long-term philanthropy.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to align development goals with the school's mission and vision.
  • Articulate the impact of the school’s charitable aims through compelling storytelling and data-driven reports.
  • Manage and grow a culture of giving that supports the school’s commitment to inclusivity and opportunity.
  • Oversee grant applications and fundraising campaigns to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the success of fundraising initiatives and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Work closely with the Principal to ensure development efforts support the school’s long-term growth and community engagement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in fundraising and development within a large or complex organisation.
  • Strong track record in delivering successful development programmes and securing transformational funding.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to articulate impact and turn stories into compelling fundraising opportunities.
  • Leadership experience in a collaborative and inclusive environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in educational or charitable fundraising.
  • Knowledge of bursary and scholarship programme management.
  • Experience with donor engagement and stewardship.
  • Familiarity with the UK education sector and its fundraising landscape.
