Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons tailored to the needs of Foundation Stage students.
- Support students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the individual attention and resources required for success.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and carers.
- Implement effective behavior management strategies to promote a positive classroom culture.
- Participate in professional development and training to enhance teaching practices.
- Maintain accurate records and reports in line with curriculum and safeguarding requirements.
- Promote the school’s values of Belong, Believe, Become through daily interactions and teaching.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Foundation Stage Inclusion Teacher with appropriate SEN and teaching qualification (i.e. B.Ed. and/or PGCE)
- Proven experience teaching in the Primary classroom, with a focus on inclusion and special educational needs
- Strong knowledge of The National Curriculum for England and Wales and its associated assessment practices
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to pastoral care and student well-being
- Ability to identify and address safeguarding concerns
Preferred
- Experience with inclusive education strategies and differentiated instruction
- Background in early years education or child development
- Demonstrated success in fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Familiarity with British curriculum standards and teaching methodologies
