Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons tailored to the needs of Foundation Stage students.
  • Support students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the individual attention and resources required for success.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and carers.
  • Implement effective behavior management strategies to promote a positive classroom culture.
  • Participate in professional development and training to enhance teaching practices.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with curriculum and safeguarding requirements.
  • Promote the school’s values of Belong, Believe, Become through daily interactions and teaching.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Foundation Stage Inclusion Teacher with appropriate SEN and teaching qualification (i.e. B.Ed. and/or PGCE)
  • Proven experience teaching in the Primary classroom, with a focus on inclusion and special educational needs
  • Strong knowledge of The National Curriculum for England and Wales and its associated assessment practices
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to pastoral care and student well-being
  • Ability to identify and address safeguarding concerns

Preferred

  • Experience with inclusive education strategies and differentiated instruction
  • Background in early years education or child development
  • Demonstrated success in fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment
  • Familiarity with British curriculum standards and teaching methodologies
