The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced French and German Teacher to join our Secondary Department and inspire students in a multicultural setting. This role offers the chance to deliver innovative lessons and shape the linguistic future of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote active learning and language acquisition.
  • Prepare students for GCSE examinations in both French and German.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities, including language trips and clubs.
  • Create an inclusive and motivating classroom environment that encourages language use and confidence.
  • Support the development of students' communication skills across a range of abilities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the MFL curriculum and teaching practices.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to continually improve teaching methods.
  • Engage in school events and initiatives that promote cultural awareness and global citizenship.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching French and German at Key Stage 3 and GCSE levels.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to work in Spain with a valid residency or visa.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching a third subject such as English, Humanities, or Drama.
  • Experience working in an international school setting.
  • Proficiency in Spanish.
