The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated French and Spanish Teacher to join our dynamic team. This role involves teaching both languages to students across multiple grade levels, while contributing to the school’s mission of fostering bilingual, globally engaged learners through inquiry-based learning and pastoral care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach French and Spanish to students in lower grades, ensuring a strong command of both languages
- Deliver engaging lessons aligned with the IB MYP and DP curricula
- Support student-centered, inquiry-based learning and pastoral care initiatives
- Act as a homeroom teacher and contribute to PSHE (Personal, Social, and Health Education) programs
- Foster positive relationships with students and collaborate with colleagues
- Continuously improve teaching practices and adapt to a new cultural environment
- Participate in school-wide events and professional development opportunities
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Undergraduate degree in French or fluent in French
- Strong command of Spanish and experience teaching lower grades
- Recognized teaching qualification
- Experience with IB MYP and DP curricula
- Commitment to student-centered and inquiry-based learning
- Enthusiasm for pastoral care and building strong student relationships
Preferred
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
- Background in bilingual education
- Familiarity with Chinese language and heritage programs
- Experience in a multicultural or international school setting
