Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and stimulating French lessons to students of all abilities.
- Support students in achieving high standards in French at KS4 and beyond.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Languages Faculty to develop innovative teaching strategies.
- Foster strong relationships with students and promote a positive learning environment.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of cross-phase initiatives, including KS2 transition and Sixth Form support.
- Encourage a lifelong love of languages through creative and interactive teaching methods.
- Contribute to the development of the school’s curriculum and extra-curricular activities.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification.
- Proven experience in teaching French at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Strong subject knowledge in French and the ability to teach to GCSE.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to high academic standards and student achievement.
Preferred
- Experience teaching Spanish in addition to French.
- Experience with KS2 transition and Sixth Form language studies.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities.
- Experience in developing and delivering extra-curricular language activities.
