The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Further Maths Course Leader to join our highly successful Maths Department. This role offers the chance to lead and inspire students, while contributing to a department known for outstanding achievement and innovative teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the planning, delivery, and monitoring of the A Level Further Maths course
  • Work closely with the Head of Department and other Course Leaders to ensure high-quality provision and curriculum development
  • Support student progress through regular assessment and targeted interventions
  • Contribute to departmental meetings and collaborative resource development
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to students and other staff members
  • Maintain strong communication with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Ensure compliance with examination boards and curriculum requirements
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge
  • Proven experience in teaching A Level Further Maths
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • Commitment to student achievement and professional development

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum planning and course management
  • Background in sixth form education
  • Familiarity with Pearson Edexcel qualifications
  • Experience in leading a team or department
  • Involvement in extra-curricular or pastoral activities
