The Opportunity:

Join a dynamic and forward-thinking department as a Game Development and Creative Media Teacher. You will deliver engaging lessons in Game Development, Creative Media, and Esports, using industry-standard tools and fostering a passion for digital creativity and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Game Development, Creative Media, and Esports across Key Stage 4 and post-16.
  • Teach NCFE and UAL qualifications, ensuring coverage of all learning outcomes and assessment criteria.
  • Use industry-standard software such as Unity, Unreal Engine, and Adobe Creative Cloud to support interactive and project-based learning.
  • Support students in developing technical skills, creativity, and problem-solving through structured learning experiences.
  • Contribute to extra-curricular activities, including coding clubs, game jams, and Esports events.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and assessment results.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine teaching resources and curriculum content.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Excellent subject knowledge in Game Development, Creative Media, and Esports up to Level 3.
  • Experience teaching or supporting Level 2/3 vocational courses in Computing, Game Development, or Creative Media.
  • Confidence in delivering NCFE and UAL qualifications, including understanding of assessment and internal verification processes.
  • Proficiency in relevant software such as Unity, Unreal Engine, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with Esports theory and practical sessions.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, C#, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with media production tools and streaming technologies.
  • Commitment to inclusive teaching strategies and digital literacy.
