The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced GCSE Computer Science tutor to work with students in Pinner. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to helping students with special educational needs (SEN) achieve their academic goals through personalized and impactful tutoring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, structured GCSE Computer Science tuition to students in Pinner
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students with SEN
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and the school team
- Provide regular feedback and progress reports to ensure student success
- Follow the Bright Heart Approach and safeguarding guidelines
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development
- Collaborate with education consultants to enhance teaching strategies
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and lesson content
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- At least 12 months of relevant tutoring and/or teaching experience in the UK
- Strong subject knowledge in GCSE Computer Science
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)
- Current Enhanced DBS certificate (with a check of the children’s barred list)
- Right to work in the UK
Preferred
- University qualification or currently studying towards one
- A-levels or equivalent qualifications
- Experience with online and in-person tutoring
- Passion for teaching and working with SEN students
- Familiarity with the Bright Heart Approach
