The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced GCSE Drama Tutor to support students in Epsom. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in SEN support and a commitment to helping students reach their full potential through drama education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective GCSE Drama tuition to students in Epsom
- Support students with special educational needs with tailored learning strategies
- Prepare students for GCSE examinations through structured and interactive lessons
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to update them on student progress
- Follow the Bright Heart Approach and adhere to safeguarding and child protection policies
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
- Collaborate with education consultants to ensure the highest quality of tuition
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and learning outcomes
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- At least 12 months of relevant tutoring and/or teaching experience in the UK
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong subject knowledge in GCSE Drama
- University qualification or studying towards one and A-levels
- Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)
- Current Enhanced DBS certificate with a check of the children’s barred list
- 2 relevant professional references and a parent reference
Preferred
- Experience with the Bright Heart Approach
- Previous experience in SEN tuition or teaching
- Passion for drama and the performing arts
- Flexibility to work both in-person and online
