Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality tuition in English, maths, or science to small groups or one-to-one students.
  • Support students in preparing for GCSE exams and other national assessments.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to individual student needs.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and guardians.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
  • Collaborate with other tutors and support staff to ensure a consistent and effective learning experience.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and students to support learning goals and progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Undergraduate degree or higher in a relevant subject area.
  • Previous experience working with children, including those with SEN and SEMH.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK education system and the national curriculum.
  • Excellent organisational and time-keeping skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with students and work effectively in a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection practices.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching or tutoring at GCSE level.
  • Familiarity with exam preparation and assessment strategies.
  • Experience with one-to-one and small group teaching.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
