Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality tuition in English, maths, or science to small groups or one-to-one students.
- Support students in preparing for GCSE exams and other national assessments.
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and guardians.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
- Collaborate with other tutors and support staff to ensure a consistent and effective learning experience.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Communicate regularly with parents and students to support learning goals and progress.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Undergraduate degree or higher in a relevant subject area.
- Previous experience working with children, including those with SEN and SEMH.
- Strong knowledge of the UK education system and the national curriculum.
- Excellent organisational and time-keeping skills.
- Ability to build rapport with students and work effectively in a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection practices.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching or tutoring at GCSE level.
- Familiarity with exam preparation and assessment strategies.
- Experience with one-to-one and small group teaching.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
