GCSE Tutor needed in Esher with experience in SEN support.

The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced GCSE Tutor to support students in Esher with Maths, Geography, and/or Classical Civilization. This role is ideal for someone passionate about education and committed to making a meaningful impact on students with SEN.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality tuition to GCSE students in Maths, Geography, and/or Classical Civilization
- Support students with special educational needs (SEN) using tailored teaching methods
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
- Follow the Bright Heart Approach to ensure a nurturing and student-centred learning environment
- Prepare and deliver engaging lessons that align with curriculum requirements
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to stakeholders
- Attend training sessions and safeguarding workshops provided by the agency
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and learning outcomes
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- At least 12 months of relevant tutoring and/or teaching experience in the UK
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong subject knowledge in Maths, Geography, and/or Classical Civilization
- A university qualification or currently studying towards one, with A-levels
- Passion for teaching and working with students with SEN
- Current Enhanced DBS certificate (with a check of the children’s barred list)
Preferred
- Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)
- Familiarity with the Bright Heart Approach and safeguarding practices
- Experience with online and in-person tutoring
- Flexibility to work in Esher and surrounding areas
- Ability to provide 2 professional references and a parent reference
