Summary:

Generalist Teacher needed for 1 FTE fixed term position with Mathematics focus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Mathematics to students across the 11-16 age range, ensuring a high standard of learning and progress.
  • Deliver engaging lessons that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and mathematical understanding.
  • Support the development and implementation of the school’s Mathematics curriculum.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and enhance teaching and learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attainment.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support a safe and inclusive school environment.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities to enhance teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Mathematics.
  • Experience teaching Mathematics at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student well-being.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and take responsibility for student progress.

Preferred

  • Experience of teaching in a secondary school setting.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation in Mathematics.
  • Knowledge of current teaching methodologies and assessment strategies.
  • Experience with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
