The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Geography lessons to students across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that reflects the school’s commitment to academic excellence and student success.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated teaching and individualised feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Geography Department and across the school to enhance teaching and learning practices.
  • Participate in a comprehensive induction and professional development programme to further your teaching expertise.
  • Contribute to the school’s strong behaviour and relationships policy, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Geography and incorporate innovative teaching methods into lessons.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Geography or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Geography at KS3 and KS4.
  • Commitment to student success and a passion for Geography education.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive school culture.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Geography at KS5.
  • Previous experience in a school with a strong academic tradition.
  • Involvement in extracurricular Geography activities or fieldwork.
  • Experience with professional development and continuing education initiatives.
