Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Geography across the curriculum, including both Human and Physical Geography.
  • Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that promote a deep understanding of geographical concepts.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through effective teaching and pastoral care.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver a cohesive and challenging curriculum.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of the Geography department.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Encourage student participation in co-curricular and extracurricular activities related to Geography.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Geography education and incorporate new ideas and resources into teaching.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Geography.
  • Proven experience teaching Geography at both GCSE and A level.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to the school’s mission and values, including inclusivity and pastoral care.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching both Human and Physical Geography.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching techniques and technologies.
  • Strong record of student achievement and positive feedback from previous employers.
  • Experience in co-curricular or extracurricular Geography-related activities.
