Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Geography across the curriculum, including both Human and Physical Geography.
- Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that promote a deep understanding of geographical concepts.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through effective teaching and pastoral care.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver a cohesive and challenging curriculum.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of the Geography department.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Encourage student participation in co-curricular and extracurricular activities related to Geography.
- Stay up to date with developments in Geography education and incorporate new ideas and resources into teaching.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Geography.
- Proven experience teaching Geography at both GCSE and A level.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities.
- Commitment to the school’s mission and values, including inclusivity and pastoral care.
Preferred
- Experience teaching both Human and Physical Geography.
- Familiarity with modern teaching techniques and technologies.
- Strong record of student achievement and positive feedback from previous employers.
- Experience in co-curricular or extracurricular Geography-related activities.
