Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire and challenge students.
  • Foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a global awareness through a well-structured curriculum.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential at GCSE level and beyond.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the overall success of the department.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of cross-curricular and whole-school initiatives.
  • Promote the values and vision of the school through teaching and pastoral care.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Geography.
  • Strong subject knowledge across the Geography curriculum.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s values and ethos.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
  • Experience in delivering lessons that promote critical thinking and global awareness.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching at both primary and secondary levels.
  • Background in inclusive education and working with diverse student populations.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • Familiarity with the use of digital and industry-level resources in teaching.
