Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Geography lessons that engage and challenge students.
- Plan and implement a dynamic curriculum incorporating local and global case studies.
- Support students through a range of fieldwork opportunities, including trips to urban, coastal, and physical environments.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance departmental teaching strategies.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure academic success and personal development.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the Geography department.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports all students.
- Work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure alignment with school goals and values.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
- Experience in teaching Geography at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Commitment to student achievement and personal development.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred
- Experience with fieldwork planning and delivery.
- Knowledge of outdoor education and environmental studies.
- Experience with curriculum development and innovation.
- Familiarity with the use of technology in Geography teaching.
- Experience with teaching in a multi-academy trust setting.
