The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Geography Teacher to join our vibrant Humanities faculty and contribute to the academic and personal development of students. This is a temporary role, ideal for newly qualified or experienced teachers looking to grow within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Geography lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies that promote student achievement and enthusiasm for Geography.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of a wide range of Humanities subjects, including History, RE, and PSHE.
- Support students in developing key skills such as critical thinking, research, and analysis.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance departmental performance.
- Participate in staff development and training opportunities to continually improve teaching practice.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Engage in extracurricular activities and school events that support student learning and development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
- Experience in teaching Geography at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Geography education.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Commitment to student welfare and personal development.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering a range of Humanities subjects.
- Familiarity with GCSE and A-Level Geography curricula.
- Experience with cross-curricular teaching and professional development.
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities within the Humanities faculty.
