Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging Geography lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Contribute to the planning and development of schemes of work and assessment strategies.
- Support the department's commitment to excellence through collaborative planning and teaching.
- Participate in extra-curricular activities and fieldwork opportunities.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student achievement.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
- Stay up to date with developments in Geography education and curriculum changes.
- Mentor and support other teachers as part of the school's Teaching School status.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Geography education.
- Experience teaching across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including A-level.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Geography.
- Commitment to student success and a positive, inclusive teaching approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Preferred
- Experience with AQA A GCSE and Edexcel A level Geography courses.
- Experience in developing and leading extra-curricular Geography activities.
- ECTs (Early Career Teachers) are welcome and supported.
- Experience in evidence-based teaching practices and professional development.
