The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Geography Teacher to join a highly successful department that delivers engaging and relevant lessons. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Geography lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Contribute to the planning and development of schemes of work and assessment strategies.
  • Support the department's commitment to excellence through collaborative planning and teaching.
  • Participate in extra-curricular activities and fieldwork opportunities.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Geography education and curriculum changes.
  • Mentor and support other teachers as part of the school's Teaching School status.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Geography education.
  • Experience teaching across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including A-level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Geography.
  • Commitment to student success and a positive, inclusive teaching approach.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with AQA A GCSE and Edexcel A level Geography courses.
  • Experience in developing and leading extra-curricular Geography activities.
  • ECTs (Early Career Teachers) are welcome and supported.
  • Experience in evidence-based teaching practices and professional development.
