The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Geography Teacher to join its dynamic secondary team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality Geography lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level curricula.
  • Foster student engagement through inquiry-based learning and innovative teaching methods.
  • Support students in developing strong critical thinking, research, and writing skills.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including pastoral responsibilities and co-curricular activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school’s academic and extracurricular programs.
  • Provide pastoral care and guidance to students as part of a supportive school community.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to curriculum design and review.
  • Maintain high standards of academic achievement and student progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Recognised teaching qualification.
  • Minimum of two years’ successful experience teaching Geography at secondary level.
  • Experience delivering IGCSE and A-Level Geography.
  • Strong spoken and written English skills.
  • Commitment to collaborative and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Willingness to take on pastoral and co-curricular responsibilities.

Preferred

  • Ability to teach English at Key Stage 3.
  • Experience with inquiry-based learning and student-centred teaching methods.
  • Experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Familiarity with British-style curricula and international education standards.
