Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver high-quality Geography lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level curricula.
- Foster student engagement through inquiry-based learning and innovative teaching methods.
- Support students in developing strong critical thinking, research, and writing skills.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including pastoral responsibilities and co-curricular activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school’s academic and extracurricular programs.
- Provide pastoral care and guidance to students as part of a supportive school community.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to curriculum design and review.
- Maintain high standards of academic achievement and student progress.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Recognised teaching qualification.
- Minimum of two years’ successful experience teaching Geography at secondary level.
- Experience delivering IGCSE and A-Level Geography.
- Strong spoken and written English skills.
- Commitment to collaborative and inclusive teaching practices.
- Willingness to take on pastoral and co-curricular responsibilities.
Preferred
- Ability to teach English at Key Stage 3.
- Experience with inquiry-based learning and student-centred teaching methods.
- Experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- Familiarity with British-style curricula and international education standards.
