The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a dedicated Geography Teacher to join its team in September 2026. This role is ideal for an experienced Geography Teacher or someone new to the profession, looking to make a meaningful contribution to student learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Geography lessons that engage and inspire students.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum aligned with GCSE/IGCSE standards.
  • Support students with English as an Additional Language (EAL) where necessary.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Participate in co-curricular and extracurricular activities to enhance the student experience.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
  • Contribute to the school’s mission of fostering global citizens through academic and personal growth.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Geography or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Geography at Key Stage 3 and 4, or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge and ability to deliver engaging lessons.
  • Commitment to the school’s mission and values.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working with international students or those for whom English is an additional language.
  • Familiarity with the British curriculum and GCSE/IGCSE qualifications.
  • Experience in a boarding school or co-educational setting.
  • Ability to contribute to co-curricular and Games programmes.
