The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging Geography lessons aligned with the National Curriculum of England.
  • Foster a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Support students in achieving academic success through differentiated instruction and formative assessment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement cross-curricular projects and extracurricular activities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programs to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.
  • Contribute to the pastoral care of students, promoting their personal, social, and emotional development.
  • Engage with parents and the wider school community through regular communication and involvement in school events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a UK Department for Education teacher reference number or equivalent non-UK qualifications.
  • Fluent in English with strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Relevant degree in Geography or a related subject.
  • Experience in teaching Geography at secondary level.
  • Commitment to student-centered learning and the British curriculum.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL/TEFL).
  • Experience in international education or teaching in a multicultural environment.
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum of England and GCSE/A Level qualifications.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Experience in extracurricular program delivery or student welfare initiatives.
