Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Geography lessons that meet curriculum requirements and challenge students.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated instruction and individualised care.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the school’s ambitious curriculum.
- Participate in the school’s rich extra-curricular programme.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching and learning across the department.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure consistent academic achievement.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and diversity.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of lessons for a second Humanities subject where applicable.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven experience in teaching Geography at Key Stage 3 and 4
- Commitment to the school’s Christian values and ethos
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate students
Preferred
- Experience in teaching a second Humanities subject
- Background in delivering high-quality extra-curricular activities
- Experience with the use of technology in the classroom
- Previous experience in a Church of England school
