Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Geography lessons that meet curriculum requirements and challenge students.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated instruction and individualised care.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the school’s ambitious curriculum.
  • Participate in the school’s rich extra-curricular programme.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching and learning across the department.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure consistent academic achievement.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and diversity.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of lessons for a second Humanities subject where applicable.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience in teaching Geography at Key Stage 3 and 4
  • Commitment to the school’s Christian values and ethos
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching a second Humanities subject
  • Background in delivering high-quality extra-curricular activities
  • Experience with the use of technology in the classroom
  • Previous experience in a Church of England school
