Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Geography lessons using well-planned and sequenced curriculum resources.
  • Support students in achieving outstanding academic results and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practice in Geography teaching.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Geography curriculum.
  • Provide pastoral support to students as part of a strong and supportive school community.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate records and assessments to support student progress and achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Geography or a related subject.
  • Experience in teaching Geography at Key Stage 3 and 4, with an understanding of GCSE and A-Level requirements.
  • Commitment to student welfare and the ability to work effectively within a supportive team environment.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching Geography at A-Level or equivalent.
  • Experience in delivering Geography through innovative and engaging teaching methods.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development in Geography.
  • Experience in pastoral support or student welfare initiatives.
