Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Geography lessons using well-planned and sequenced curriculum resources.
- Support students in achieving outstanding academic results and personal growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practice in Geography teaching.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Geography curriculum.
- Provide pastoral support to students as part of a strong and supportive school community.
- Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.
- Maintain accurate records and assessments to support student progress and achievement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Geography or a related subject.
- Experience in teaching Geography at Key Stage 3 and 4, with an understanding of GCSE and A-Level requirements.
- Commitment to student welfare and the ability to work effectively within a supportive team environment.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching Geography at A-Level or equivalent.
- Experience in delivering Geography through innovative and engaging teaching methods.
- Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development in Geography.
- Experience in pastoral support or student welfare initiatives.
