Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, innovative Geography lessons across KS3 to KS5.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and real-world application.
- Support students in achieving academic success and personal growth through meaningful enrichment opportunities.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Humanities Team to enhance teaching and learning across the department.
- Engage students in fieldwork and outdoor learning experiences, taking advantage of the local area’s natural and cultural resources.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continued development.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to the broader educational vision of the institution.
- Maintain high standards of teaching, behaviour, and professional conduct in line with the school’s values.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Geography or a closely related subject.
- Proven experience in teaching Geography at KS3 to KS5 level.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver inspiring and innovative lessons.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Commitment to student welfare and the promotion of a positive learning environment.
- Experience in curriculum planning and assessment.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or contributing to departmental development.
- Familiarity with fieldwork and outdoor learning opportunities.
- Experience with teaching English as a Second Language or working with diverse student groups.
