The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Geography lessons to students from Year 7 up to A level.
  • Develop and implement an engaging and challenging curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and support continuous professional development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure that all learners reach their full potential.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to support student development and school community.
  • Work closely with other departments to enhance cross-curricular learning opportunities.
  • Maintain strong communication with students, parents, and other stakeholders to support student success.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and valid teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching Geography at Key Stage 3 and A level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and pastoral care.

Preferred

  • Experience of working in a school with a strong academic reputation.
  • Familiarity with the School Direct Teacher Training programme.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
  • Ability to deliver lessons that incorporate technology and innovative teaching methods.
