Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Geography lessons to students from Year 7 up to A level.
- Develop and implement an engaging and challenging curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and support continuous professional development.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure that all learners reach their full potential.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to support student development and school community.
- Work closely with other departments to enhance cross-curricular learning opportunities.
- Maintain strong communication with students, parents, and other stakeholders to support student success.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and valid teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching Geography at Key Stage 3 and A level.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and pastoral care.
Preferred
- Experience of working in a school with a strong academic reputation.
- Familiarity with the School Direct Teacher Training programme.
- Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
- Ability to deliver lessons that incorporate technology and innovative teaching methods.
