Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Geography lessons that promote critical thinking and a love of learning
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that meet the needs of all students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support continuous professional development
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure consistent academic achievement
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of cross-curricular projects and events
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Support the school’s mission to nurture a strong, close-knit community
  • Engage with parents and the wider community to promote Geography and the school

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and a valid teaching qualification
  • Proven experience in teaching Geography at the secondary level
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding

Preferred

  • Experience in developing innovative teaching resources and materials
  • Familiarity with the use of technology in the classroom
  • Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development
  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting
