Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and challenging Geography lessons that promote critical thinking and a love of learning
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that meet the needs of all students
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support continuous professional development
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure consistent academic achievement
- Participate in the planning and delivery of cross-curricular projects and events
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Support the school’s mission to nurture a strong, close-knit community
- Engage with parents and the wider community to promote Geography and the school
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and a valid teaching qualification
- Proven experience in teaching Geography at the secondary level
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding
Preferred
- Experience in developing innovative teaching resources and materials
- Familiarity with the use of technology in the classroom
- Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development
- Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting
