The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Geography lessons that inspire students and promote academic excellence.
  • Plan and develop a curriculum that supports student progress and meets high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Monitor and assess student performance to ensure continuous improvement and achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and support school-wide initiatives.
  • Provide pastoral care and support to students, contributing to a positive and inclusive school culture.
  • Engage in professional development to maintain and enhance teaching expertise.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and attainment.
  • Participate in school events and activities that promote student engagement and community spirit.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Geography.
  • Experience in teaching Geography at secondary level.
  • Commitment to student achievement and progression.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and take responsibility for individual and group learning outcomes.

Preferred

  • Experience of teaching to a range of abilities and backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with current Geography teaching methodologies and resources.
  • Experience in curriculum development and delivery.
  • Knowledge of inclusion strategies and differentiated instruction.
