The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Geography Teacher to provide maternity cover from April 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a vibrant and supportive department in a boarding school environment. Whether you are an experienced teacher or a graduate, you will play a key role in shaping student learning and engagement with the subject.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Geography lessons to students across all key stages
- Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies
- Contribute to the co-curricular and pastoral life of the school
- Support students in achieving academic success and personal growth
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental practices and outcomes
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities
- Maintain accurate records and assessments of student progress
- Stay up to date with curriculum developments and industry trends in Geography
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge
- Experience in teaching Geography at secondary level
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Commitment to student welfare and pastoral care
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Human A-level Geography
- Familiarity with co-curricular activities and pastoral support
- Experience working in a boarding school setting
- Demonstrated passion for Geography and education
